Salem Cyc;e Logo - Black and White
Salem Cycle logo
Salem Cycle
This logo was created to obviously reflect the fact that it is a bicycle store, but also to fit into the city where it is. Salem, as most people know, is known as the Witch City because of the witch scare and consequent trials that happened in the 16 and 1700's. We incorporated all of these recognizable images into this very successful logo.
Chelsea's Fine Women's Clothing
This design is for a fine women's clothing store. The client wanted something that portrayed a casual, yet slightly sophisticated feel. The store is named after the owners' daughter, and therefore the design was ultimately based off of what she looks like as well.
Amhearst Skatepark Committee logo Amherst Skatepark Committee
As part of the Amherst Skatepark Committee, Nick felt it neccessary to help promote it's cause, and knowing that a good logo is sometimes all you need to get your foot in the door, he designed this skatepark-influenced logo. This was a dream come true for the skateboarder of 15 years turned graphic artist!
Revolve Logo Revolve
The idea behind the revolve logo is that they wanted something round-ish, yet stylistically different enough that it would be recognizable. They also wanted it to reflect the store's purpose - to outfit people with recycled clothing. So we used letters from the name to create the little guy on top.
Animal Watch Logo Animal Watch
Animal Watch is an interactive CD-ROM developed at UMass Amherst to help teach mathematics. The program design is such that the user needs to solve varying complexities of math problems to help save endangered species in an adventure game format. Therefore they wanted something that showed the 3 animals they were focusing on, but in a logo style format, and as something that would work well on a CD. This is what we came up with.
Broken Shackles logo Broken Shackles
This is an independent record label created to support the talent of Davinchi, and Davinchi and the Wrong Crowd. The idea was to create an image that described the breaking away from control and oppression in life and in the music industry. The design is a very straight-forward approach that works well in black and white.
The Center for Knowledge Communication
The CKC as it is known is a creative group that is part of the Computer Science department at UMass Amherst specializing in teaching computer art, animation, and multimedia programming. Therefore the tree of knowledge was used for this design. Also, when the logo was created, there were 4 classes that made up the CKC, which are represented by the 4 circles that make up the leaf-area of the tree.
