Album
Cover Design
We are
quite partial to designing album covers. They function on
so many levels - as artwork, as advertisment for the band
and the music/content, as a visual representation of the content,
and also simply as eye-candy. We also like the album cover
because we are all musicians as well and it appeals to our
love of music and all of the great albums of the past. So
please have a look at our little collection of CD and CD-ROM
covers.

Davinchi
- Vignettes
One of our favorite album cover designs, Vignettes was
artist Dave Davinchi's returning album. It was to showcase
his inward struggle and his outward push to express himself.
It contains many revealing and deeply felt songs and lyrics,
and the music is soulful and engaging. Vignettes was realeased
and received many wonderful reviews. The success of the
album spawned the creation of the Wrong Crowd, Davinchi's
back up band and support vocalists. Andy Gerard of Focus
Power was intrumental (no pun intended) in the success
of the Worng Crowd as well as the recording and mastering
of Vignettes and the DWC albums. |

Davinchi
and the Wrong Crowd - Notice Me
The first major relase by the newly formed band, Davinchi
and the Wrong Crowd. 'Notice Me' was a literal statement
to the public, a song title, and a driving motive behind
many of the songs included on this self-exploring album.
The cover design was meant to emphasize the feeling of
a child or young adult who is crying out for attention
and where his world is chaotic, the world around him is
simple and normal. |

Davinchi
and the Wrong Crowd - Notice Me EP
DWC's second release of Notice Me, which included several
new tracks as well as remastered tracks from the previous
album. The cover was designed as a portrait of what the
band had been up to since the first release, including
photos from shows, their calendar, and equipment. And
most importantly... a coffee stain from all the caffine
needed to make it through all of those long recording
sessions! |

Bomb
Chomsky - Self Titled
What can we say? Political driven music meant to both
make fun of, but also to alert people to the wrong do-ings
of the political process. This album was released on a
small scale but was found and enjoyed by many. It is,
for the most part, heavy metal/death metal/techno, but
well worth a listen to. The cover art was a blatant message
to the people... "Why can't you see what's going
on... its right in front of you..." |

Liquid
Plaid - First Drop
The debut release for the band Liquid Plaid. The cover
design was made using a stock photo of a table of food
and 3D models of the pitcher and glass. With 3D modeling,
we have the ability to create just about anything we need
and position and light it to fit any scene. This is just
one great example of using such techniques to enhance
the look of the artwork. |

Animal
Watch - Interactive CD-ROM
Animal Watch is a math tutor designed to help explain
mathematics as well as raise awareness about three endangered
species through the use of an interactive adventure game.
The CD-ROM was produced and sold or donated to schools
all throughout the country and was well received. We designed
this cover using the logo that we had designed for them
as well. Therefore, we made it colorful, yet simple and
to the point. We received rave reviews for this cover
design. |

Design
for Manufacturing - Engineering Interactive CD-ROM
The DFM tutor was developed by the Computer Science and
Engineering departments at the University of Massachusetts
in Amherst. Its purpose is to teach basic part manufacturing
techniques such as extrusion, bending, stamping, and die
casting to first year engineering students as a means
to help improve their knowledge base as well as speed
up the learning process. Along with the interactive functionality,
special 3D animations were created to help visually explain
each process. |

Cassieje
Cassieje was a joint project between Cassie and EJ and
resulted in this album. It was more of a small project
than anythinng else and was never mass produced in any
way, but remains a favorite among the people we know.
The cover was designed to represent the deep soul and
artistic nature behind the project. |

Corn
Husky
This cover was made to emulate the cover for the band
Kiss. We staged the pictures of the artist, EJ, took hi-res
digital photographs. We then composited it all together
using generated effects to emulate |

Mix
CDs
Again, we REALLY like making album covers, and consequently,
we have made several mix CDs for friends and family over
the years and just for kicks, made the album covers for
them as well. So here are a few of those that we really
liked. Keep in mind that often, these are just the front
covers. |
